While recovering from Thanksgiving left-overs, I noticed a clear sky outside. I should do some imaging. It was quite clear and cold. I wanted to get a Mosaic of M45. I quickly set up the Seestar on the back deck and got things running.
I made sure that I turned on the dew heater to prevent frost getting on the lens. I then settled down to watch Dune: Prophecy while the Seestar stayed out in the cold and captured photons.
Using the Mosaic Tutorial the next morning, I was able to process the mosaic correctly. I was hoping to get more of the nebulosity, but considering I am in light polluted suburban skies, I am not too disappointed with the results.
On the next clear night, I plan to get a mosaic of M42.
